Once again, I am privileged to be able to bring
pictures from the company's wokshops especially during a time when the
company is extremely busy. As ever, I offer my sincere thanks
to the Managing Director, Gary Smith, and all those on the shop floor,
who so kindly support my visits.
The 'London' workshop is now very active as the
latest batch of Mercedes Ategos progresses. Elsewhere, the Welsh
order continues, along with further appliances for Lancashire.
The Somerset Water Carrier is progerssing well, and there is also the first
GMC body ready to be fitted to a Volvo FLH.
A 'mini' update of a London Atego and the Somerset
Water Carrier seen outside the factory.
A set of pictures showing the CARP in its striped
livery and undergoing various tests.
New vehicles for Merseyside include a 3-axle flatback
lorry and a new pump. The Welsh brigades appliances continue apace,
but no North Wales vehicles are included in this update. The GMC
Volvos are progressing well, and the final two Daf LFs are nearing completion.
Also on site are two Dennis Sabres for Durham and Northumberland respectively.
Finally, the London Ategos continue apace, but again are not included in
this update.
Seen for the first time in this update are two
of the MAN LEs for Cheshire. Also included are appliances for South
Wales, Northumberland and Merseyside. The first of the GMC Volvos
has left the factory and the other 7 are all included in this update.
Other appliances in build, but not included are for Guernsey, North Wales
and London, plus there are chassis on site for Cleveland and Durham.
The factory was extremely busy as usual. A mini photogrpahic record
includes appliances from Gloucestershire, Devon & Somerset plus the
current Rescue Tender from Taunton and one of the new Volvo FLHs for Greater
Manchester.
Again, just a couple of pictures taken outside the factory, but interesting
nonetheless, with the arrival of the fist CARP for South Yorkshire included,
as well as a Dennis Sabre just about to depart for Cleveland.
Today saw an Open Day of the whole TVAC complex. As a result I
am able to bring a 'bumper' update with over 50 photographs covering 9
pages.
The last update of the year sees, predominantly, vehicles for the Welsh
and North East Consortia and Merseyside.
