SATURDAY 30 JUNE 2018

By this day, it had become necessary to shut all the roads around Winter Hill.  Accordingly, appliances were photographed on roads nearby, either arriving or departing the incident.
However, later in the day I was invited on to Saddleworth Moor and attended the holding point at Swineshaw Reservoir.

Large clouds of smoke almost obliterated the television mast on Winter Hill.

Soft-Trak vehicle PN08PSO was seen on Chorley Old Road, Bottom o' th' Moor.

PO11KKC from Burnley was seen in Horwich.

Over in Stalybridge, two Nottinghamshire Scanias were parked in the station yard.
