C53/E4 WHISTON

Formerly Lancashire County Fire Station C53, Whiston moved in to Merseyside in the reorganisation of 1974.

Bedford DTC926E was seen at one of a number of large fires at United Reclaim in Speke, this one in 1974.
Following Whiston's move from Lancashire to Merseyside all the boards/badges were removed by the station personnel.

Bedford DTC927E was seen a long way from home at Park Mill, Royton, 8 August 1970.

The Bedford was subsequently replaced by NHF286S, photographed a year later in 1978.

Carmichael bodied Dennis SS135 D174SKC was seen in the familiar surrounds of the station forecourt.

Now carrying a TVAC body, Sabre T661CCK was seen in Victoria Street, Liverpool, 8 August 2009.
