OPEN DAY

25 JULY 2009

As usual, the Open Day at Warrington proved to be a popular event, aided this year by some fine and warm weather.  A selection of pictures is included below.

ERF Foam Tanker P135RMA was suitably adorned to advertise the event.

Along with the Foam Tender were the Atego pump from Birchwood ~ DA52YZJ
plus the ERF ALP ML02MTJ and MAN pump DK08AHX both from Stockton Heath.

Mercedes Hazard Management Unit DA52YZG was at the rear of the station.

Warrington's Atego DA02MZU was slightly difficult to photograph, being behind the safety cordon.

Ford Ranger DK56JYP with IRB were also behind the cordon.

Warrington's MAN appliance DK08AHU was seen in the appliance room.

Mercedes 1124 L973TFM, part of the reserve fleet, was also in the station yard.

Iveco MX05LLK the second machine at Stockton Heath, which can also be used as a Target Response Vehicle.

Former Crosfield Dennis F1 NED146 was a very popular attraction.

Another very popular attraction was GMC H443AMA the Chip Pan demonstrator.

Making its first appearance at a Warrington Open Day was Mercedes FN54AFX the recently acquired Community Roadshow Vehicle.

Inside the CRV, there is a Plasma Screen and several Broadband terminals.
I was delighted to see pictures from a very well-known website being shown on another wall.

Many of the SMART cars have been replaced in this case with Vauxhall Corsas
including DK08NUA/NUH carrying various messages.

The Red Cross were in attendance with Fire & Emergency Support vehicle V937HBM.
