The RET Robot is a mutli-functional
robot for fire-fighting purposes. From the end of October 2024, Lancashire
Fire & Rescue Service has had one on trial. It has a pumping capability
of 3,800 litres per minute and is capable of pulling two charged input
lines, with fully remote control. I understand it is available for use
by surrounding Fire & Rescue Services and attended a Major Incident
at BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. I am grateful for the recent
invitation to photograph this new concept.
