A rare site indeed, as both ariel appliances from Morecambe can be seen in this picture
with the new ALP on the left and the TL just visible beyond the other ALP on the right.
(The TL was due to be replaced by the ALP)
The second ALP was from Preston.  Also in the picture is a JCB jib.

The recently delivered Volvo ALP PN04VAX was pressed into action at Morecambe Metals, 11 June 2004.
As this incident required 3 ariel appliances, the ALP and the TL from Morecambe were both in use.
As noted above this appliance was not yet in regular use.
