From 1948 until 1974 Lancashire County Fire Brigade was divided into 6 Divisions. 'F' division covered the East Lancashire area which had its divisional headquarters and divisional control room at Accrington Fire Station. The first picture pre-dates all of that!
Leyland TL DTB300 of the Accrington Fire Brigade
was seen 15 August 1938.
It remained in use, passing to Lancashire
County, until 1961.

dating from 1950.
5 were sold to other brigades whilst LTJ856
originally based at Accrington was moved to Washington Hall
where it was seen during one of the brigade
hosereel/ladder competitions in 1962.

Cocker bodied Emergency Tender 577YTD was seen
at a 30 pump fire at Park Mill, Royton, 8 August 1970.
