The Fire Station c.1971
The present Fire Station is built on the same site.

Whilst demolition and rebuilding were in progress a temporary station opened in the Council Yard on Prescot Road.
It was seen 22 January 1989.

This picture of Bedford KEL FTB315F was taken many miles away from Ormskirk.
It was at the scene of a major blaze in a wallpaper and paint factory in Leyland c.1973

Sister appliance FTB316F was photographed at St. Annes, having become a B division reserve appliance in 1973.

Bedford FTB316F obviously saw further service after it left Lancashire.
Any further details on subsequent ownership of this appliance would be most welcome, please.

Research indicates that at least one Bedford was replaced by a Ford within two years.

Leyland Freighter E118HCW was parked at TVAC when seen, 5 July 2004.

Leyland Freighter F130JEO began life at the old station.
(The new station is built on the same site.)

Daf-55 PN52VJK was seen leaving a 10 pump fire in Burscough, 12 October 2010.

Daf LF PL06OVX was seen on the station forecourt ahead of moving into the reserve fleet, 12 January 2018.
