I understand that there was quite
a rapid 'make-up' for this incident. The incident started between
1700 & 1730 and when I was called at 1805, it had already increased
to 15 pumps plus specials. I have included some pictures taken
on the night of 21 December and others taken on the afternoon of 22 December.
For many appliances it was a 'homecoming'. My SACU was set
up at the back door of the former TVAC premises, where most of the appliances
attending had been built. The fire actually destroyed 5 warehouses,
spread over several hundred metres.
New MFS/CSU PO60LUP was the contact point.
On the left SACU B from Salford, behind SACU
C from Whitehill, Stockport and on the right SACU L from Fulwood.
SACU C had arrived as relief for the other
two vehicles.
