HANDING OVER CEREMONY

The keys to the 17 new Volvo appliances [16 pumps and the Usar Unit] were handed over to the then Deputy Chief Fire Officer by Councillor Paul Shannon, Chairman of the Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Authority.
As I was indisposed at the time, I am indebted to Mr. Neville Heywood of GMF&RS for the supply of these pictures from the event which remain Mr. Heywood's Copyright.

PN08UWZ was also seen in the rear yard, 28 July 2008.

PF08SNN was seen alongside an appliance still to be registered, 28 July 2008.

PF08SNY clearly illustrates the rear end and was seen in Leigh T.S.C. 28 July 2008.

PN08UWV was undergoing final preprations before moving to Stretford.  It was seen 13 January 2009.

PF08OZC was also seen in the yard at Leigh T.S.C., 13 January 2009.

With one new Volvo on the run at Heywood, PN08UXJ was being prepared for imminent entry into service, 9 February 2009.

Destined for Rochdale, Volvo PF08SNV was seen at Leigh T.S.C. 9 February 2009.

Volvo PF08SNU will also go to Rochdale.  It was seen at Leigh T.S.C. 31 March 2009.
