Before the exercise began, all
the casualty volunteers gathered at the Highways Englands Offices in England,
where they was briefed in their individual tasks and the make-up was applied.
In total there were around 70
volunteers. Here a just a few of those involved.
With a long night ahead, the Salvation Army were on duty both here and at Eccles Fire Station to provide refreshment.
