On Friday June 2nd I was privileged
to be invited to Egremont Fire Station for a special event - the Dedication
of a Board commemorating every firefighter who has served in the town since
the inception of the very first Fire Brigade.
It was the brainchild of Crew
Manager Dave McDowell. The crew have raised all the money needed
to pay for the project and it has taken some years to research all the
names and dates. The final result is a superb tribute.

Area Manager Nick O' Key was invited to conduct the unveiling.
