A19 BROUGHTON-IN-FURNESS

Prior to local government reorganisation in 1974, a number of fire stations in the South Lake District and Furness areas came under the jurisdiction of Lancashire County Fire Brigade.

Looking 'typical' Lancashire County (and typically damp) this picture dates back to c.1971.

By the time Dodge BAO291T was allocated here, the station was well and truly part of Cumbria.

Compact Water Tender L215KAO was also based here, before being replaced by L217KAO below.
