Definitely less sunshine, but not as much rainfall has we had hoped for. I have to confess that by Thursday I was feeling very tired. Wednesday's team attended again but this time in SACU 'C' from Whitehill. My attendance was again in a supportive capacity and I attended with SACU 'A' simply because it was easier to keep taking food off that vehicle rather than keep driving to the nearest Supermarket. Consquently, my time in attendance was shorter than on other days, but I did manage a few photographs to help complete the story.
Someone said to me recently that
they had discovered a part of hidden Lancastrian beauty in the Trough of
Bowland which lies between Clitheroe and Lancaster. I agree
totally, but anyone coming to this part of the country would also do well
to take in some of the scenery around Belmont, Rivington and Anglezarke
which all lie between Bolton and Chorley. The first picture
was taken outside the Black Dog Inn at Belmont Village. The staff
there were extremely kind and generous to the firefighters and to me when
I had two huge water bottles to refill on the SACU. Special thanks
to them for their help.
T135BCK from Wesham was seen outside the Black Dog in Belmont Village.
It was soon joined by T125BCK from Carnforth. Yes the road was wet, but only from a hydrant.
The remaining pictures taken
on the Thursday were all up at the R.V. point.
